So sorry to read that Ann has passed away. When i was a 20 year  old Student Nurse, Ann was my mentor for my 4 weeks District Nurse Community Experience. I enjoyed working with her and was so inspired by her that I decided that was the career path that I wished  to take. I thought it might be later in my life but in fact I started my District Nurse training only 3 years later and was a qualified D/N by the age of 24. I was lucky enough to meet and work with Ann many more times over my 30 year community career and she was always supportive to me and so lovely to work with and so down to earth. 
I always remember being in the car with her when I was that Student Nurse and Ann getting very frustrated with the traffic and other drivers and shouting “come on, come on!” which always greatly amused me!!
